Rick took a risk back in 1986, leaving his comfortable corporate America job, with two young kids, and jumped ship. He wanted to make a difference and do this thing called \u201cleadership\u201d\u2026BETTER.<\/p>\n<p>After an undergrad degree in wildlife and forestry (which helped with those leaf reports for his son, Ross, and daughter, Ashley, when they were kids), Rick earned a master\u2019s in psychology from Westfield State University where he has since taught as an adjunct professor. He worked for the State of Massachusetts in the division of employment security, helped manage and run a residency program with his wife, Andrea, when Massachusetts de-institutionalized, and was the director of employee relations for a large, privately-held food distribution firm in Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>Retired now, Rick has been married for over 40 years to his high school sweetheart, Andrea, and is still in love today. There isn\u2019t anywhere they won\u2019t travel to, unless the flight is over 10 hours, there\u2019s no fishing available, no water or ocean around, or nothing to do. They thrive on spending quality time with family, including their four grandchildren, and can\u2019t get enough of Cape Cod. Rick is an avid guitar player of 50+ years, has written many songs and is an all-around party animal.<\/p>\n<p>To use one of Rick\u2019s many coined phrases, if you want to make a difference in your life, \u201cyou gotta take the bull by the tail and shake it up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our fearless founder!
